The Position

We, the Digital Biomarker (dBM) and Remote Patient Management (RPM) Chapter in Roche Information Solutions (RIS), are a coordinated team of scientists, technologists, data analysts and operations experts, that leverages mobile technologies like smartphones and wearables to bring the power of sensor measures to patients everywhere: in clinical drug trials and clinical care.

We drive research, workflows and analytics for Digital Biomarkers and Remote Patient Managementin RIS. Together with our partners, we invent, craft and deliver solution capabilities, products and services for better clinical research and improved healthcare outcomes.

We co-create innovative digital remote monitoring concepts for sensitive and meaningful drug development endpoints, implement them in technology solutions, develop health related outcome measures with the data, seek community- and regulatory acceptance of corresponding endpoints and offer them to Biopharma companies and research institutes for use in clinical trials.

We are establishing the scientific foundations for disease monitoring and screening solutions in clinical practice and enable patients and healthcare providers to leverage the power of sensor data for better outcomes in the management of neurological disease, diabetes and others.

The Opportunity:

  • Collaborate with a broad stakeholder community to ensure successful integration of Digital Biomarkers in drug development studies.

  • Contribute to the dBM & RPM chapter's organizational evolution, establish portfolio processes and governance, and represent Roche at relevant conferences.

Who you are:

  • Hold a Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field (Ph.D. is an advantage), with 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical and digital health, leading data analytics, digital sensor processing efforts, and operationalizing ePRO, eCOA, or digital biomarkers.

  • Proven senior operations leader in a global CRO, with a successful track record of integrating digital health technology into operating models.

  • Extensive experience in sensor data and digital biomarker development, with strong team coordination skills and a sense of value creation.
