Position Summary
The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Coffee (NPTC Coffee) is the leading R&D organization that discovers, develops and deploys coffee and beverage products and technologies for in-home and out-of-home consumption. It consists of units in Konolfingen (CH), Marysville (USA), Orbe (CH) and Singapore and provides new products and processes to all Nestlé markets worldwide.

As a Senior Innovation Insights Specialist, you will develop consumer learning plans to uncover insights in a fast-paced innovation environment and guide their translation into competitive products. This global role requires a strong understanding of consumer insights, identifying opportunities, leveraging rapid experimentation, and effective storytelling.
You will work with cross-functional teams, including Global Brand, Insights, Ideation, and local market teams, to enhance our coffee innovation and renovation strategies for brands like Starbucks, Nespresso, and Nescafe.
A Day in the Life of a Senior Innovation Insight Specialist
- Gain a deep understanding of consumers and product categories to create actionable insights and engaging narratives
- Act as the consumer advocate in cross-functional project teams, providing expertise in consumer insights and leading I&R activities
- Plan and conduct consumer research, customizing approaches to fit needs, budgets, and timelines.
- Identify strategic business opportunities and emerging consumer trends
- Explore innovative techniques that align with incubator objectives
- Collaborate regularly with peers across three global R&D centers and other research locations
What will make you successful
- Degree in Social Sciences, Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Established experience in Consumer and Marketplace Insight, preferably with an innovation focus
- Proven ability to generate consumer insights that drive innovation
- Skilled in modern and agile insight methods and social listening tools
- Open-minded and creative, experienced in novel consumer research techniques
- Strong analytical, storytelling, and communication skills
- Excellent team player with strong stakeholder management abilities
- Fluent in English, additional language proficiency is a plus
