Are you a highly accomplished and results-driven scientist with a deep understanding of upstream processes in large molecule manufacturing? Do you thrive in a challenging and collaborative environment where you can make a significant impact on the development of innovative therapies? If so, we invite you to join our team!
The MSAT Lab operates within the Large Molecule Drug Substance (LM DS) platform, which is a segment of the global MSAT organization.
As we work to enhance MSAT capabilities to fully own our current and future commercial products, we are establishing a dedicated MSAT LM DS Lab specializing in Large Molecules (mAbs, complex glycoproteins, bi- & tri-specifics). This lab will house small-scale equipment including 2-10 L bioreactors (fed-batch and continuous perfusion), downstream processing and process analytical lab equipment.
The MSAT Lab will support Life Cycle Management of commercial products and Secondary Technology Transfers. Our lab will conduct satellite runs in Leiden and for EU & Row address complex investigations, process improvements, and serve as a non-routine sample hub.
You will be a highly valued member of our team, playing a critical role in leading complex investigations and driving robust and reliable upstream processes for our global commercial portfolio. You will work independently, leveraging your extensive expertise to execute experiments, analyze data, and contribute to the advancement of key projects. You will act as a mentor and guide to junior scientists, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and innovation within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upstream Process Investigations & Optimization:- Lead the design, execution, and analysis of complex investigations related to upstream processes, aiming to optimize step yields, increase robustness and reliability of our LM products, and enhance our understanding of key process parameters.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of robust and scalable upstream processes (reduced scale models), ensuring alignment with global manufacturing strategies.
- Troubleshoot complex process challenges and identify innovative solutions for improvement.
- Data Analysis & Interpretation:- Analyze experimental data independently, drawing insightful conclusions and preparing clear and concise reports.
- Effectively communicate results to colleagues and stakeholders, both locally and globally, presenting complex findings with confidence.
- Technical Expertise & Innovation:- Stay at the forefront of the latest advances and technologies in upstream process development, continuously seeking new ways to enhance efficiency, robustness, and reliability.
- Proactively contribute to the development and implementation of technical solutions to address manufacturing challenges, proposing innovative approaches and solutions.
- Leadership & Mentorship:- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior scientists, sharing your expertise and fostering their professional development.
- Encourage a culture of scientific excellence and collaboration within the team.
- Global Collaboration:- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across different locations, engaging in global initiatives and sharing knowledge to drive consistent process development and optimization.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear and concise updates on project progress and ensuring alignment with global strategic objectives.
