As our next Sales Representative, you will be responsible for the success of our analytical instrumentation portfolio, including chromatography and mass spectrometry solutions (GC, GC/MS, LC, LC/MS, Automation and Labinformatics) for our customers in Romandie region. As an integral member of the Agilent Sales team, you will work to deliver customer centric solutions, focus on creating new business and develop relationships to expand Agilent’s footprint with existing clients. You will work alongside a diverse team of sales professionals such as Product Specialists to develop and implement successful strategies and tactics to sell Agilent instrumentation solutions in a very driven marketplace.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Understand customer needs and identifying solutions to non-standard tasks/queries to creates business opportunities
• Promoting and selling products and/or solutions to current and new customers
• Creating monitors and revising lead generation plans including introduction of new products.
• Developing accounts and maintaining positive ongoing long-term relationships with key customers
• Determining and developing approaches to sales assignments achieving quota targets
• Leading projects requiring coordination with other functions, organizations
For this role, you will be working remotely (or from our offices in Lausanne) combined with travel to customer sites across Romandie region, supporting cantons of Vaud and Valais.
Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated individual with the following background:
• University Degree in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry…) or similar
• Expertise with analytical instrumentation, and especially chromatography and/or mass spectrometry solutions (GC, GC/MS, LC, LC/MS, HPLC), with an experience either in a similar sales position OR as an end-user.
• Full proficiency in both French and English.
On a personal level, you are proactive, outgoing and customer focused. You also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with many external and internal partners. You show a real can-do attitude, resilience and you enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a team. Whilst being flexible and adaptable, you have also strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
