As the Senior Product Development Engineer on the Kimberly-Clark Professional NA R&D Team, you will be focused on identifying and executing large scale innovation and renovation plans in the tissue and towel categories. Specifically, you will work with our business partners to create a go-to-market cadence for our product categories that enables Kimberly-Clark Professional to remain differentiated in the marketplace. You will be a key contributor to developing and executing on brand-led innovation, renovation and business support plans, working cross-functionally to ensure products meet established brand standards. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and comfort with technologies that support tissue and towel manufacturing.
In this role, you will:

Manage mid- to large-scale projects

Lead research trials at towel and tissue manufacturing sites

Partner with business team members to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within our product portfolio of towel and tissue

Partner with manufacturing team members to execute brand-led initiatives
-
Work with cross-functional and cross-sector teams to find synergies that will help drive solutions

Collaborate with Category team to develop and implement go-to-market and commercialization activities for identified solutions
-
Lead the qualification or commercialization activities at internal manufacturing or external contract manufacturing sites
-
Partner with Category & R&E program leaders to establish a cadence of product innovation

Work effectively with cross-functional teams such as quality, product safety, regulatory, manufacturing and supply chain teams.

Plan and carry out project responsibilities with limited assistance and direction.

Communicate and document project plans and effectively manage key stakeholders

Develop robust timelines, budgets, and resource forecasts

A bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related major scientific field or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university with 5 years or more years' experience in a variety of technical assignments

Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes

A track record of strong project leadership capabilities including stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
Preferred qualifications

Strong knowledge and background in tissue and towel manufacturing processes is desired.

Product development process knowledge (e.g. stage gate, rapid learning cycles)
-
Experience with printing or embossing on pulp based product formats
-
Demonstrated ability to solve complex business challenges
-
Experience working cross-functionally with business unit marketing and manufacturing teams
-
Understanding of Kimberly-Clark products, procedures, and processes.
