STI-PhD position in Phase Change Heat and Mass Transfer (ETA-LAB)

A PhD position is available in Prof. Zhengmao Lu’s Energy Transport Advances Laboratory (ETA-LAB) in the Institute of Mechanical Engineering at EPFL, Switzerland. At the ETA-LAB ( etalab.epfl.ch ), we strive to obtain a deeper understanding of liquid-gas interfacial heat and mass transfer and create high-performance, low-carbon-emission energy and water technologies.

What we are looking for:

• Solid background in heat transfer and fluid mechanics
• Great communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• Prior experience in materials synthesis and optics will be viewed favorably (not required though)

Starting date: prior to April 1st, 2025
