The Position

eCOE Team member - Focus on Europe North & South Pharma Region SPOC (Single Point of Contact)

We advance science so that we all have more time with the people we love.

The Opportunity

The eCoE is focusing on three areas delivering a high-level of financial expertise, relevant insights, and an entrepreneurial mindset that enables stakeholders to take business decisions. The eCoE is a talent engine for Finance through capability building and network building. There are three focus areas within eCoE:

  • Financial Backbone

  • Digital Innovation

  • Analytics and Insights

While there are three focus areas and clusters, we are not seeking to create silos. We are looking for individuals who display the Finance Mindset & Behaviors, and will support a living organism that will leverage the business knowledge and financial expertise of the network to deliver exceptional results for Finance and Roche. Team members are partnering with Roche Services & Solutions (RSS), Finance Enterprise Partners (FEPs) and the Business to deliver many of Finance's core processes and deliverables while also driving process scaling/simplification/harmonization and progressing our digital ambition. Ensuring business continuity is a must.

In this exciting role, you will be primarily supporting our Pharma Commercial OBC and focus more specifically on the following activities:

  • You will support the Pharma International affiliates network and serve as SPOC for the Pharma Europe North and South region and the Area Finance Manager in particular.

  • Engage with Senior stakeholders across the regions which would include but not limited to Finance Manager for medium and large affiliates.

  • You will be responsible for core financial processes for the region, incl. business planning, month-end closing, insights generation and preparation and delivery of periodic reports to key stakeholders

  • You will work in a global team, collaborate with different teams within the eCoE and across the networks to drive eCoE outcomes and other organizations (mainly Pharma International)

  • Beyond the SPOC role, you will be involved in various Finance initiatives in the Pharma Commercial area and beyond depending on your preferences and business needs.

Who You Are

You are expected to bring commercial affiliate experience and a broad Finance background to the eCoE community. As a member of the eCoE, you will bring a strong technical expertise together with the ability to work in a self-aligning team with minimal hierarchy and to a large extent in a virtual setting. You will be a catalyst for the Finance ambitions and you feel comfortable with some level of ambiguity. Your key skills and experiences include:

  • A minimum of around 5 years working experience in FP&A and track record of strong delivery

  • Ability to effectively partner with senior stakeholders both in Finance and beyond, understanding their needs and translating them into value adding deliverables

  • Business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit and growth mindset - Ability to understand and connect with the business on product portfolios, advice with a long term business perspective and use data analysis to drive sound business decisions.

  • Ability to navigate through a complex, broad and diverse organization

  • Digital savvy with strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and ability to handle large datasets. Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud is a strong plus.

  • Being a strong collaborator, good communicator with the ability to influence and drive change

  • Demonstrate the courage and ability to lead

  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain trusted relationships in a multicultural and global environment

  • You are able to effectively communicate in English. Any other European language is considered a plus.

We are looking forward to your application to join the eCoE journey and make an impact on patients through this role in our Pharma Commercial Outcome Based Community (OBC).
