THE OPPORTUNITY
As an Agile Coach, you'll drive Agile transformation by collaborating with the Lean Agile Center of Excellence to support the adoption of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe principles. You will also promote Agile practices by coaching teams to higher levels of maturity and empowering them to deliver high-quality products. Additionally, you will guide Agile implementation by training teams, overseeing their development, and encouraging an Agile mindset among workers and leadership
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:

Drive Agile transformation: Collaborate with the Lean Agile Center of Excellence to educate and support organization in adopting Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe principles.

Promote Agile practices: Develop Takeda’s workforce by coaching teams to higher levels of Agile maturity.

Empower teams: Coach teams to become proactive, self-organized, and capable of delivering high-quality products.

Adapt to solutions: Be flexible and agnostic to solution models, delivering the most effective and efficient solutions for the organization.

Guide Agile implementation: Train Agile teams, oversee their development, and encourage the adoption of an Agile mindset and processes among workers and leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Responsible for coaching teams to build mature Agile teams.
-
Provide on-going training and workshops for teams, such as user story writing, using Jira and boot camps for new teams.

Facilitate quarterly planning activities such as Big Room Planning.

Stand up appropriate CoP’s to support long-term people growth in their roles.

Act as an Agile evangelist/leader for the organization.

Coordinate and communicate organizational challenges and impediments back to the OMT coaching co-hort.

Reflect current shared Agile practices from the LACE to the members and teams in the TCC.

Coach and mentor agile team community, Chapter Leads, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
-
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or other relevant work experience.
-
7+ years of Agile coaching experience within a Lean/Agile development environment.

Extensive experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and tools like Jira.
-
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage all levels of a global organization.

Proven track record in leading workshops, building communities of practice, and influencing towards common goals.
-
Flexible and adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity, and experienced in a multi-national environment.

Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical industry and a strong interest in digital technologies and trends.

Professional/business level proficiency in both English and Japanese, with a global mindset and willingness to work in a multi-national environment.

Working Hours: Headquarters (Osaka/ Tokyo) 9:00-17:30, Production Sites (Osaka/ Yamaguchi) 8:00-16:45, (Narita) 8:30-17:15, Research Site (Kanagawa) 9:00-17:45

Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, May Day, Year-End Holidays etc. (approx. 123 days in a year)
