What you'll be doing here
- The PhD position is focused on leveraging digitalization for circular strategies in the solar industry
- Development of both theoretical concepts and practical platform systems to facilitate the identification and possibly tracking of photovoltaic (PV) systems along different lifecycle stages
- Investigation of currently applied product identifiers using the example of PVs and possibilities to connect these to digital repositories
- Validation and testing of proposed and developed concepts in several pilot projects to assess their effectiveness and impact
- Analysis and evaluation of data sets to identify trends and create new knowledge
- Active participation in research activities and supervision of bachelor students
What you'll bring with you
- Masters in computer science or business informatics or related fields
- Knowledge and experience in digital technologies for data collection, integration, and analysis, as well as awareness and motivation to dive into emerging decentralized technologies
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively, while also fostering interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to work in a team and together with industry partners
- Interested in the use of modern software engineering systems and approaches
- Strong communication and writing skills in English required, enabling effective collaboration and the preparation of scientific publications and reports; German is a plus
