As part of the development of CHANEL F&B Boutiques in Travel Retail, we are looking for a Boutique Manager for our new CHANEL F&B Boutique at Zurich airport (opening May 2025).

As a Boutique Manager, you will have a key role in deploying Chanel’s Retail vision,
ensuring operational excellence as well as a unique client experience at any time. You will be responsible for all Retail activities within the Boutique (strategical, analytical & operational), elevating Chanel’s brand image & performance. To successfully carry out your missions, you will be supported on a daily base by the CHANEL Travel Retail department and our partner Avolta.

YOUR MISSIONS
 

Team management:
A team of 5 Beauty Consultants (employed by Avolta) will be dedicated to the
CHANEL boutique, located in Zurich Airport Level 1.
 

  • Lead by example on the sales floor, demonstrating state of the art client engagement and selling techniques.
  • Establish a strong team spirit and a positive working environment
  • Ensure the understanding and implementation of Chanel’s strategy.
  • Build & lead positive, ambitious & constructive team briefings
  • Follow up on performance indicators of each employee, providing regular feedback.
  • Develop individual action plans to ensure the success of each team member.
  • Drive the team on the field, allowing them to perform at their best.
  • Update team schedules together with the Terminal Manager (Avolta),
    guaranteeing a smooth Boutique operation at any time.
  • Inspire your team, while proactively developing your personal skills & knowledge
  • Participate in recruiting talent, setting up personalized integration programs.

Business development         
 

  • Develop a deep knowledge of the Travel Retail environment in Zurich Airport
  • Be a driving force in developing the business on a day to day
  • Propose different actions to improve the business, adapting to several passenger profiles.
  • Analyze and pilot KPIS ensuring constant progress & reaching our ambitious targets
  • Guarantee a correct implementation of animations, client experiences and visual merchandising recommendations.
  • Ensures that Boutique guidelines are implemented and respected at any time.
  • Manage the order process and use of sales aids in line with the brands’ strategy
  • Develop a healthy and positive partnership with Avolta’s local management.
  • Guarantee an excellent stock level, through constant communication Avolta’s local management.
  • Work closely with the Chanel & Avolta logistics departments to ensure the proper management of F&B and Eyewear inventories, and the implementation of new launches according to the defined schedule. Make proposals for Eyewear orders.

Be an Ambassador of CHANEL brand:

  • Create personalized client experiences, based on CHANEL’s experience paths,
    brand culture and know-how.
  • Develop loyalty and long-lasting relationships with clients.
  • Represent the boutique internally and externally:
    • Create synergies with Duty Free Multi Brand Stores
    • Create and develop a strong partnership with each business partner.

PROFILE:
You have a passion for high-end retail, a deep understanding of luxury brands, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service. With approx. 5 years in retail you are driven to curate a personalized shopping experience, building lasting relationships, and overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure the boutique runs seamlessly.

  • In-depth knowledge of beauty trends, high-end product offerings, and market insights
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in inventory management, visual merchandising, and stock control

  • High-level organizational skills and multitasking abilities
  • Fluency in German, English (any other foreign language is a plus)
