Tasks and Responsibilities
- Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot local desktops, printers, conference/meeting equipment, mobile devices, and accessories at designated locations
- Maintain updated asset records (CMDB) and manage lifecycle and disposal of obsolete devices
- Liaise with management for purchasing planning and with local vendors/telecom providers for maintenance
- Monitor and maintain the lifecycle of servers and equipment running local applications and services
- Act as the ‘eyes & hands’ for centrally managed equipment, such as network support, and provide timely responses to Infrastructure Operations
- Monitor backups and perform restores when necessary
- Offer first and second-level technical support, including calls, tickets, and user interactions
- Maintain reliable documentation of all user interactions in the ticketing system (ServiceNow) and contribute to knowledge base articles
- Provide IT onboarding for new starters and continuous improvement initiatives
- Handle walk-in user support for devices, equipment, and software issues, and support VIPs and events as requested
- Contribute to office moves, equipment upgrades, migrations, and pilot new technology initiatives
- Incident and Problem Management:
- Ensure incidents and requests are logged in the service system
- Analyze recurring issues, identify root causes, and work with architects and operations for long-term solutions
- Fluency in English and French; other languages are a plus
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with IT rollout projects and Windows 11
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple stakeholders
- Self-sufficient, well-organized team player
- Experience in regulated IT environments (e.g., GxP) is an advantage
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Criminal record dated within the last 3 months
