PhD position in Organizational Studies/Strategic Management

We offer a 70% paid PhD position in organization studies/strategic management at the University of Neuchâtel starting October 1st, 2024 or by mutual agreement.
Activities
• Research on PhD thesis in organization studies/strategic management (potential topics: networks and social capital, strategic change, expatriates and identity dynamics)
• Contribute to chair research and other scholarly activities. The applicant has the possibility to contribute to a major research project at the Chair of Strategic Management focusing on networks of entrepreneurs and SMEs. It is also possible, but not a requirement, to write the thesis on this topic.
• Assist in (strategic) management lectures and contribute to the related tasks (course material creation, exam prep, student support, etc.)
Requirements
• Master’s degree in management, psychology, economics, or a quantitative field such as engineering or statistics (obtained max. 5 years before starting the PhD)
• Excellent grades
• Evidence of an analytical mind and solid quantitative and/or qualitative skills
• Demonstrated independence and initiative
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Excellent command of English (oral and written)
• Passion for research and teaching
• Interest in network studies, social capital, strategic change, international management and/or gender aspects of management
• Knowledge or French and/or German is a plus but not a requirement
