As a Cyber Security Engineer in Telecommunications, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the cyber security posture of telecommunication systems within Switzerland’s power infrastructure. You will develop and implement technical and organizational guidelines, train staff, and ensure compliance with cyber security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee cyber security for telecommunication systems, including the application of ISMS (Information Security Management System) in compliance with telecommunication security standards.

• Develop and review the implementation of cyber security guidelines, based on legal frameworks, industry recommendations, and internal directives.

• Manage cyber security risk assessments within the telecommunications sector, ensuring the continuous improvement of processes, guidelines, and tools.

• Conduct cyber security awareness campaigns and training sessions for internal and external employees.

• Evaluate services, suppliers, and products to ensure they meet relevant cyber security requirements.

• Identify innovative solutions to reduce risks in telecommunications systems and improve security measures.

• Audit and monitor the quality of cyber security practices within telecommunications projects.

• Manage internal and external audits and certifications, including ISO 27001.

• Stay up-to-date on new threats, vulnerabilities, and developments in telecommunication technologies, while managing the lifecycle of telecommunication components.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., telecommunications, cyber security, or information security) or equivalent qualifications.

• Experience: Several years of experience in a similar role, ideally with engineering complex telecommunications infrastructures.

• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 2700x standards and familiarity with certifications such as CISSP, CISA is advantageous.

• Language Skills: Excellent command of German and English. French or Italian language skills are an asset.
