Lonza is looking for an experienced Technical Project Lead (TPL) to oversee critical utilities systems projects at our Visp site. In this role, you will take responsibility for managing the start-up and installation of Ammonia Chillers, HVAC systems, and ensuring VTOP documentation is completed in line with design specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical project management, vendor coordination, and utilities systems engineering.
Location: Visp, Switzerland
Contract: 6 months (with potential for extension)
Start Date: ASAP (within 1-2 weeks)

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical projects focused on utilities systems, including ammonia chillers, HVAC, and other critical infrastructure.
- Ensure all installations are completed according to design specifications, timelines, and regulatory standards.
- Manage and verify VTOP documentation from vendors, ensuring full compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during the installation and start-up phases.
- Oversee the start-up of systems to ensure they are fully operational and meet design expectations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Lead or in a similar project management role within industrial utilities systems (e.g., HVAC, ammonia chillers).
- Strong understanding of VTOP documentation and technical vendor management.
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure smooth project execution.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
- Fluent in German
