Key Responsibilities:
The duties outlined in this job description may be modified by the Principal, with your agreement, to reflect or anticipate changes in the job, commensurate with the salary and job title. It will be reviewed in the context of the School Development Plan and Performance Management cycle.
Secondary school teacher :Provision of scheduled Staff Duties, Form Tutor and After School Activities.
The successful candidate will be expected to prepare students fully for all external examinations.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
• PGCE teaching qualification or recognised equivalent. This is a core requirement.
. Proven ability to lead high impact student learning. This is a core requirement.
Subjects taught at BSG:
English, Mathematics, Art, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Drama, Economics, French, Geography, History, ICT, Music, Physics, PE, PSHE, General Science, Spanish
• Proven ability to teach at Key Stage 3 - 5 with Pearson EDEXCEL OR an internationally recognised equivalent curriculum.
• All relevant Subject areas may be considered depending on qualification and ability to deliver high impact student learning.
• Fluency in English.
• The proven ability to contribute to and work effectively within a Subject department and broader staff community.
• The proven ability to maintain accurate data, records and Curricular Schemes of Learning.
• The proven ability to energise student learning and experience ensuring high level of student development and improvement.
• A proven facility with using relevant Information technology and complying with in house systems of recordkeeping.
• A proven ability to provide additional contribution to student experience beyond the mainstream curriculum.
• A 10 Year Personal Background Police Clearance record (to include International child protection certificate or equivalent).
• 2 written references from Referees.
• A current Work Permit to work in Switzerland or residency in Switzerland or as a Frontalier.
