You will have a key role in crafting the metabolics (“Meta”) strategy in collaboration with the cross functional team and you will lead the execution of a broad range of initiatives to ensure patients living with HPP/LAL-D are both diagnosed and have rapid access to life changing medications ultimately helping Alexion achieve its ambition for Canadian patients.
Additionally, in this unique role, you will be responsible for the engagement of Key External Experts (KEEs) across Canada to build strong partnerships to advance management of rare metabolic diseases.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the HPP/LAL-D strategic planning process, including SWOT analysis, forecasting, risk assessment, and resource allocation in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Develop brand positioning, narrative, and messaging to align with patient-focused goals.
- Design, implement, and evaluate marketing initiatives.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships to align plans across key areas such as Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Access, and Diagnostics.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, partners, and suppliers.
- Oversee the annual cross-functional Opex budget.
- Lead business reviews with senior leadership, focusing on revenue, performance, KPIs, and market trends.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to create and execute Key External Expert (KEE) and Key Account Management (KAM) plans, supporting healthcare professionals throughout the patient journey.
- Support national and regional advisory boards with medical teams.
- Coordinate national and international speaker tours with medical colleagues.
- Lead KEE engagement planning for national and international congresses.
- Ensure full compliance with internal SOPs and policies for all projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a scientific field.
- At least 3 years of marketing experience and 5 years in Pharma/Biotech.
- Proven ability in strategic analysis, planning, and execution, driving brand growth.
- Strong communication skills, with experience presenting complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Ability to lead in uncertain environments, adapt to change, and maintain a growth mindset.
- High EQ with a dedication to crafting an inclusive work environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (Market Access, Medical, Sales, Finance, etc.).
- Strong project management, organizational, and key account management skills.
- Knowledge of brand management, healthcare professional (HCP) promotion, and the sales process.
- Experience managing external agencies and promotional budgets.
- Ability to work both independently and in teams.
- Flexibility to occasionally work evenings and weekends.
- Willingness to travel (up to 50% of the time).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in sales, specialty care, professional education, digital marketing, diagnostic programs, or rare diseases.
- Bilingual in French and English.
- MBA.
