The place of work is located in Allschwil at our divsion headquarters of Electrcial Connectors.
Your responsibilities
As Product Manager you will oversee a range of electrical connectors for the industry business line, prioritizing global strategy, market focus, and roadmap creation to secure market leadership. You will drive product growth and innovation, aligning with core business objectives and acting as the customer and market advocate to meet strategic Business Unit goals.

Your main responsibilities are:
- Overseeing product portfolio development, market analysis, customer demand, pricing strategy and life cycle in collaboration with sales,and business development, engineering, marketing and other teams.
- Crafting product portfolio vision and growth strategy in key market segments.
- Creating a customer focused roadmap and business cases for projects that meet global customer requirement and outperform competition.
- Guaranteeing successful product launches with action plans for any disparities and supporting marketing campaign implementation.
- Collaborating closely with internal technical experts, including standards, approvals, and patent rights experts, to initiate new developments or adapt the existing portfolio with new requirements.
- Tracking global trends, assessing customer needs and potential industry disruptions. Performing competitive analysis, informing strategic planning and USPs. Developing product specs and business cases for new products.
- Identifying new opportunities and providing strategic inputs to R&D for futuristic technological developments.
- Provide product expertise to sales and business development for technical inquiries including trainings.
- Monitoring the performance of the portfolio through KPIs and communicating results to upper management and present action plans.
- Proactively contributes to enhancing Product Management methodologies by identifying process bottlenecks and areas for execution improvement.
- Collaborating with the Marketing Communications (MarCom) team to suggest innovative marketing strategies to engage customers, through online and print media, and playing a pivotal role in developing concepts and content for product communication materials including catalogs, flyers, and assembly instructions.
Profile
To be successful in this role, you should possess strong engineering and product management skills, with a clear orientation towards business and performance. Also, you should have proven ability to work collaboratively with and influence teams and individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- Higher technical education, preferably in engineering (electrical, electronics, mechanical) complemented by training in marketing or business administration.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role within an international B2B environment.
- Experience in the medical industry is desirable.
- Sound knowledge in electrical connectors or electronic industry.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in both German and English.
- Ability to use hard data and metrics to support assumptions, recommendation, and drive actions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and capability to perform well in deadline-driven environments, with meticulous attention to detail and multitasking competence.
- Experience in collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams.
