Job description
In this position, you will be responsible for managing and growing existing online retail sales through merchandising, marketing, and promotional techniques for online properties in the USA. This individual is responsible for developing, implementing, and regularly maintaining our ecommerce initiatives to maximize the potential of our online presence in the USA, while balancing OmniChannel initiatives to promote the optimal user experience, maximizing cross channel sales through digital initiatives.
This person will also act as a liaison between HQ ecommerce and other local departments, developing processes that ensure eCommerce operations flow smoothly and efficiently, while striving for the best customer experience possible.
This position is an on-site position in Miami, FL.
Profile
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Take ownership of US Online Store by setting & executing local E-Commerce strategy against defined sales targets aligned with global Ecommerce strategy & objectives.
• Initiate & drive actions based on website analytics & sales performance data and produce actionable KPI reporting.
• Oversee, manage and ensure constant updates & improvements of on-site merchandise taking into account frequent new collection launches, local stock availability, pricing changes and sell-out performance
• Lead and empower E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Specialist, define clear roles & responsibilities and ensure smooth collaborative workflows.
• Provide a clear direction to the sales service team, in order to provide customers with an exceptional end user experience in line with brand guidelines. (Define processes, provide product and special activation launch information, provide insight as to how to handle special case scenerios, etc.)
• Spearhead digital OmniChannel initiatives, with a priority on a seamless cross channel customer experience.
• Play a lead role in the digital execution of Special Projects, as defined by the brand president. (E.G. SXY, Marketplace integrations, Chat, Payment Solutions, etc.) ,
• Develop & monitor local ecommerce activations for key sales events and product launches and ensure local adaptation of global activations (e.g. Cyber Weekend, Mother’s Day, Valentines, etc.)
• Ensure stock availability by working closely with sales planning. Help to develop processes to improve stock efficiency, improving availability while also ensuring an optimal customer experience.
• Work collaboratively with the entire ecommerce team in Switzerland.
• Responsible for the input and shipment flow of all orders with Secaucus warehouse in an overseeing capacity. Further developing and improving logistic processes based on Ecom customer requirements in close collaboration with local logistics & HQ (packaging, shipment services, etc.)
• Monitor & drive ecommerce activities to maximize new customer acquisition efforts, strengthen overall retention rates, increase operating efficiencies, and favorably impact customer's lifetime value by providing input on all aspects of internet advertising, content site management, online communication, and promotional activities for all business ventures.
• Support new customer acquisition and reorder internet performance objectives by aggressively testing new offers, promotions, pricing and products online.
• Identify & escalate bottlenecks in online customer journey, share ideas on website improvements & backend processes with HQ (logistics/payments)
• Drive and support new initiatives defined on working towards Omni-channel experience and possible marketplace and/or online wholesale expansion.
Professional requirements
Job Requirements:
• BA in business, marketing, IT or communication sor equivalent experience required.
• 5 plus years in retail direct marketing and expertise in the on-line retail industry preferred. Global luxury brand retail experience preferred.
• Experience in developing, implementing and measuring e-commerce marketing strategies
• Broad understanding of e-commerce technologies and platforms
• Proven track record of increasing revenue and profit within a retail direct marketing environment.
• Proven ability to work effectively cross functionally with Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service, IT and Global HQ to drive marketing initiatives forward.
• Creativity in maximizing tight budgets and limited resources will be instrumental to your success.
• A hands-on self-starter, with a can-do positive attitude, willing to roll up their sleeves to do whatever it takes to get the job done, and a strong work ethic will also be essential.
• Solid understanding of metrics tracking and analysis; analytical, data-driven mindset Leadership
• Knowledge of ecommerce tools and systems (e.g. Magento, Demandware, SalesForce Commerce Cloud, Google Analytics, emarsys, Tableau)
The eCommerce Manager is a self-starter who is a creative problem solver, thrives under pressure, enjoys fast-paced work and is motivated by success. Candidates should have the ability to employ tactics and strategies to drive ecommerce revenue through website optimization, email marketing, search engine/pay-per-click campaigns & social media advertising. Prior e-tail marketing experience is required.
