As Automation Lead Expert you will be leader for automation, control and protection and communication parts of complex tenders and project execution characterized by

large volume projects or frame agreements

extensive, non-standard tender documentation deliverables

complex delivery model with many teams and units involved in international projects
Your responsibilities:
-
Act as a technical lead and design authority for engineering deliverables, installation and commissioning activities of automation, control and protection and communication scope of supply;
-
Work with the customer to architect & provide solutions to drive the delivery of innovative improvements and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with the supply chain function to identify potential vendors for requisite equipment and materials, cross-check offers with specifications, supplier quotations based on a suitable product mix and considering both technical and commercial aspects

Manage the sales support within the sales process including tender and risk review, strategic definition of the scope of delivery, definition of suitable terms and conditions, provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours.

Create and execute strategies for risk and opportunity management in own area of responsibility.

Create work plans and cost estimates in own area of responsibility. Review and approve scope, budget and schedule

Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigate potential risks

Support Contract Manager in its functional field (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications).
Your background:
-
Master’s degree in Power System, Electrical Engineering or similar, ideally with a focus on electrical power system.

Technical Background in Substation automation, control and protection, OT Network and CS; ideally in OEM international companies
-
Minimum of 10+ years of project execution know how as Lead engineer or technical project management in the field of substation automation, control and protection & OT Network cyber security.

Experience in the industrial control system / SAS / SCS with knowledge in HMI/SCADA system design, familiarity of communication protocols used in substations/windfarms, Network (L2-L3) architecture, OT Cyber security.

Ability to lead virtual teams and deliver results in a functional/project organization without direct reports and interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Good understanding of various IEC standards such as 61850 (network & communication), 60870-5-104 (NCC), 62443 (CS), 61892 (installation), 61869 CT, 62439-3 PRP/HSR etc.

Willingness to travel (up to 20%)

Excellent command on English is mandatory, additional European language skills are a plus
