Description and Requirements

  • Experience and background as a Finance Director or Chief Finance Officer will be an advantage

Reporting:

  • Ensure reporting accuracy of financials for the overall business
  • Work with segment controller to ensure monthly forecast / budget submission are executed and align with country view.
  • Support/Coordinate and prepare with the Leadership team for GTAP CFO and MBR Business reviews.
  • Quarterly financial close and financial reporting for ID including deep analysis on key variance. Develop improvement plan with country leadership team on:
  • Volume, revenue, gross profit (by sub-segment and product category)
  • BMC and Gross Profit
  • Overall expense
  • Work closely with the respective functional teams (AR, Credit, Treasury, IT, logistics, Accounting, Pricing, Business Control, Accounting) to ensure that it efficiently support ID overall business
  • Act as market finance focal for internal stakeholders and external customers – responsible for finance related enablement to grow business and finance related trouble shooting (incl. contracts, systems, processes, negotiations)
  • Reporting, forecasting and analysis of financial performance including revenue (P&Q), GTN and BMC cost drivers at the market segment level
  • Analysing impact of FX hedging and Cost Credits
  • Work with the COE team to understand the Balance Sheet with key focus on Working Capital, GTN accruals and Inventory Ageing.
  • Support the Quarterly financial target-setting, at the market segment level, including sales quotas.
  • Provide input to the sales commission process with Sales Operations, including measurement of attainment by individuals
  • Partnership with Operations and HR for Channel Sales Attainment / performance reviews.

Compliance:

  • Lodgement of annual statutory financial statements, Income tax returns and other tax-related matters (acting as Public Officer
  • Compliance on country risk registers and ensure accuracy and compliance on marketing and country expense approval
  • Key liaison with external advisors, including auditors and tax advisors
  • Key liaison with Lenovo Treasury (based in Singapore), including credit management and currency hedging.
  • Maintaining a strong business controls posture, including the monitoring of control point testing, ensuring that all process documentation is up to date, liaising with internal audit and running the Quarterly Disclosure Certification process
  • Preparing for and participating in the weekly BMS (Business Management System) Review with the Mature Markets Executive Leadership Team

Systems and Transformation:

  • Finance point of contact and UAT support on system integration and enhancement e.g. LBP, IFP, Gelato, Docusign, etc
  • Introduce smarter ERP document management systems with Sharepoint, Office 365 and collaboration tools
