We are looking for an excellent communicator and team player to support our Data Protection & Cybersecurity Risk Department as a Data Protection Manager, join the team and support us on our mission.

THE POSITION
These are your key tasks:
- Lead privacy by design reviews of projects, products, events or initiatives, incorporating data privacy principles into those initiatives.
- Provide data privacy advice to internal and external stakeholders, in support of rapid-solutioning to meet identified needs.
- Support contract negotiations on an as-needed basis to review data privacy contractual provisions with partners and third-party suppliers, such as data processing agreements and data transfer agreements.
- Conduct or oversee legal research. Interpret and apply a risk-based assessment of how legal requirements affect new projects, products events or initiatives.
- Keep abreast of technological developments, changes in the law, and enforcement trends, and their impact on data privacy in the world of football.
- Develop guidance, awareness and training as needed for internal and external audiences.
- Build and maintain strong and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Effectively work with cross-functional teams in on-site and remote locations, in an engaged, business-focused, and pragmatic manner.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:
- Law degree. CIPP/CIPM/CIPT certification strongly desired,
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a data privacy function within a major law firm or a multinational corporation,
- Strong substantive knowledge of EEA/CH/US/BR privacy and security laws as well as a working knowledge of international privacy and data protection laws,
- Experience and expertise with conducting privacy by design reviews,
- Prior role in providing data privacy legal guidance to internal and external stakeholders,
- Experience in monitoring privacy trends and developments and translating those into actionable guidance or requirements,
- Strong project management, communication and organizational skills,
- Ocasional travel required,
- Ability to work well under pressure with diligence, organization, and minimal supervision, and provide practical advice to stakeholders.,
- Must have ability to effectively conduct privacy reviews, and provide business-focused advice as a trusted partner,
- Proven ability to develop vision, operationalize, and implement strategy,
- Demonstrated ability to identify, understand and assess trends and developments in data privacy, explain issues in a practical, results focused manner,
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface, and develop relationships and work cross-culturally,
- Highly motivated and proactive, with the ability to articulate the organization´s vision and to seek out areas of risk and priority,
- Ability to consistently apply good judgment and prioritize,
- English required, French, Spanish and/or German a plus.
