Your responsibilities:
As Head of Sales, you will lead a talented team of technical sales representatives and key account managers, which play a pivotal role in driving our sales and business growth. Your key responsibilities are:
Overall Leadership: Lead, mentor and motivate our technical sales team
Strategic Direction: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive sales, meet objectives, and expand our business
Budget Management: Establish and benchmark our yearly sales budget, ensuring that financial targets are met
Commercial Effectiveness: Drive team performance, maintaining a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities
Forecasting and Reporting: Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting in our CRM
Regional Sales: Grow sales within the Zurich area
Customer Relationships: Build and nurture both new and existing customer relationships
Technical Sales: Provide technical sales expertise for reagents, biospecimens, kits, and benchtop instruments
Product Support: Support our customers in finding solutions for their scientific challenges
Your Skills and Competencies:
Educational Background: PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or a related field
Sales Experience: Proven track record as a sales representative in the life science industry, preferably as Head of Sales
Leadership: Experience leading and motivating a sales team
Business skills: Advanced selling techniques and excellent business skills
Language Proficiency: Fluent in German and English (both languages are essential)
Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, flexible and results-oriented, with a passion for driving progress
Driving License: In possession of a Swiss driver’s license
Location: Residence in the Zurich area
