Engineering Applications Manager - Full Time - Winterthur, Switzerland

We are looking for an Engineering Applications Manager to join our Information Technology team in Switzerland. In this role you will combine both technical expertise with managerial responsibilities for a global and diverse team based in India, Mexico, UK and Switzerland. 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Engineering Applications

- Leading consolidation of local licenses and their conversion to global software license pools, ensuring sufficient uninterrupted capacity

- Manage the budget for support of engineering applications, including Operational administration, minor enhancement request and incident handling
- Support migration from legacy applications to future application set (for both data and system)
- Lead a team of diverse roles (system admins & development)
- Liase with IT procurement, business process leads and vendors

Product Lifecycle Management System

- Ownership of the strategic initatives within the PLM roadmap. Execution of these as aligned with the PLM steering committee
- Manage the periodic maintenance of the PLM system (e.g., version upgrades)
- Liase with adjacent IT departments (e.g., Infrastructure) as needed to ensure reliable and smooth system operation

Teamcenter Performance
- Manage the portfolio of minor application enhancement requests
- Conduct yearly User Survey to monitor perception of the system
- Manage the continuous monitoring of system performance

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

- Master's or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Advanced knowledge of Information Technology and CAD systems
- Good English skills (written and spoken)
- Minimum 5 years experience as a team lead
- Minimum 5 years experience with 3D CAD systems (NX preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter preferred)
- Good English skills (written and spoken)
