We are looking for a Sales MANAGER (M/F) to join the teams of an Hotel and Residence 4 * (world famous Group) in Zurich city center
Main Mission:
- Collaborate with the sales director to achieve sales targets in the corporate and MICE segments.
- Proactively increase and maintain market share in these segments in line with strategy and budget expectations.
Job Description:
- Managing Existing Clients: Effectively manage key corporate accounts through personal visits, sales calls, and regular written communications.
- Listen to clients, address their needs, and inform management of any dissatisfaction to restore customer satisfaction.
- Manage group business requests until contract signing (room offers, seminars, client events).
- Negotiate contracts and respond to new corporate/MICE requests.
- Respond to Cvent & RFP solicitations, maintain relationships with KAM Accor and other local partners.
- Regularly update the client database.
- Business Development : Identify and generate leads for business development in the corporate and MICE sectors.
- Promote and market the hotel’s spaces to maximize ancillary revenues.
- Prepare promotional flyers and prospect new clients.
- Represent and promote the two entities at professional trade shows and local networking events.
- Organize visits and welcome Famtrips to promote the establishments.
- Study the competitive market and keep abreast of local tourism trends.
Team Player:
- Stay informed about internal and external events at the hotel and inform relevant employees.
- Record potential client information and relay it to the appropriate persons.
- Maintain effective relationships with other departments.
- Communicate proper values and behaviors within the team.
- Inform management of any incidents or problems and apply hotel procedures and policies.
- Controls and Statistics: Maintain accurate administration of corporate and MICE accounts and input information into BackYou.
- Analyze monthly production figures and propose development strategies.
- Develop and execute the annual sales action plan under the supervision of the DOS.
- Submit a weekly schedule of appointments and visits to management and report weekly activities.
Opportunity for advancement:
- Potential progression to a Sales & Marketing Manager position, with possibilities to propose development strategies in marketing (social media monitoring, marketing training, etc.) + a supervisory role to support 2 junior sales members currently in training.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Hotel management training or hospitality school preferred.
- Previous experience as a Sales Manager in the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of the Zurich market is a plus.
- Perfect command of German and English, a third language is a plus.
- Knowledge of Opéra Cloud and computer skills.
