As Project Manager for Zurich Insurance Group’s “Road to COP30” initiative, you’ll play a crucial role in orchestrating a year-long platform that brings together Communications, Public Affairs, Events, and the business. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape Zurich’s narrative as a leader in resilience and adaptation, while leveraging key events and partnerships to deepen customer relationships and influence climate policy.
What you will do

Support the development of and then manage the project plan, ensuring adherence to timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Track progress against the project plan and escalate issues as needed.

Schedule and operationally organize regular project team meetings, including minute tracking.

Set up and manage SharePoint for the project team, including access rights and filing structure.

Manage regular status reports and action lists for the project team.

Support the development of project updates (presentation decks) for internal and external stakeholders.

Establish a clear budget structure that encompasses all Road to COP30 initiatives, including different cost center allowances.

Monitor all expenses to ensure the project stays within budget allowance.

Manage risk and escalate any issues to the Project Team Lead, including providing recommendations.

Coordinate contract management with legal and procurement, ensuring all documentation is well filed.

Coordinate asset creation and materials according to timeline.

Track and coordinate timely delivery and activation between teams at events and teams at the Corporate Center.

Manage approvals with content owners, legal, compliance, etc., and collate feedback.

Schedule interviews and coordinate briefings for participants ahead of filming/events.

Support internal stakeholder briefings (written documents) and agenda requests.
What you bring

Experience in project management or a related business role within an international, matrix organization.

Knowledge of sustainability topics, including climate change, net-zero transition pathways, and ESG ratings.

Strong project management, prioritization, and organization skills with the ability to track and coordinate a large number of topics, issues, and deliverables.

Resilient under pressure and in a fast-paced, complex environment.

Ability to see the bigger picture and think strategically paired with a hands-on mentality.

Ability to quickly understand issues and new topics based on limited information.

Proficiency in using digital platforms to coordinate and manage projects.

Native-level fluency in English, with an exceptional eye for detail in crafting project documentation and updates. Proficiency in German is a plus.

Interculturally savvy and experienced in working at a global/international level.
