Chemical Process Operator
Full-time staff position subject to a 3-month probationary period

In this role you will be part of a small team, led by a Chemical Engineer responsible for the operation of the Pilot Line. Your professional growth will be assessed by the CTO, who is responsible for coordinating activities between the R&D team and the Process Production team.
Your Responsibilities:
- Routinely operate our Pilot Line facility, which includes state-of-the-art reactors, tanks, heating/cooling systems, mechanical processing equipment, and drying units,
- Be a trusted safety associate, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures at Seprify’s operations. Ensure safety procedures are meticulously followed in the pilot plant,
- Be able to operate and modify as needed automated batch units of the production process,
- Order chemicals and consumables on a routine basis,
- Provide maintenance to existing equipment as needed, or contact suitable technical services of the manufacturers,
- Assist in performing routine material characterization, for instance: pH and turbidity measurements, particle size and solid content,
- Interact with external contractors (e.g., pipefitting, automation, etc.),
- Closely interact with the Process R&D Team at Seprify.
Your Profile:
- A graduate university degree (MSc/BEng) in Chemical/Process Engineering or Food Processing,
- Familiarity or experience in operating pilot-scale equipment (reactors, chemical recycling and waste, washing, drying),
- Have extensive safety knowledge handling acids, bases, solvents at high concentrations, and conducting reactions at large scales,
- An innovative mindset with a passion for industrial process design and engineering,
- Ability and experience to work under pressure to meet deadlines,
- A team player, self-motivated, curious, resilient, adaptable, and able to handle the fast pace of a Startup while being focused on assigned tasks,
- A positive attitude and openness to learn and engage in constructive discussions,
- Knowledge and experience in mechanical and/or biomass processing can be an asset.
