The Global Markets In-Business Risk (IBR) is Front Office 1st Line of Defense team responsible for market risk across asset classes within Citi’s Global Markets division. The team is missioned to establish a holistic understanding of market risk and capital of the aggregated trading portfolio, as well as to optimize business’s return on capital. Global Markets IBR covers all trading businesses globally such as Global Rates and Currencies, Global Equities, Global Spread Products and Commodities.
The Business Manager will be responsible for implementing controls across In-Business Risk, as well as helping to drive key priorities and projects. The role will support the business (headcount, expense management, permitted product list maintenance, new joiner setup, internal audit coordination etc.) and will have extensive partnership with senior management, and work on senior presentation deck. Of particular importance is understanding end to end understanding of the trading businesses and its associated risks, the challenges business face specifically from market risk and control of view. The individual needs who develop directly impact the work of others and the results of the organization.
Excellent communication and power point skills are required in order to negotiate internally to be able to prioritize and effect changes that are most critical to the overall Markets business. This role requires a broad and comprehensive understanding of the trading eco-system include Front office, Middle Office, Market Risk, Counterparty Risk, P&L and Capital.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the business to support and execute growth strategy, ensure it follows Citi’s policy and standards
- Work closely with other 1st and 2nd line of defense to ensure projects and milestones are delivered
- Create and deliver business presentations for internal use (such as IBR forums, EMT-1 reviews, knowledge sessions, etc.), and assist on materials/reporting for external use (including fulfilling various regulatory commitments)
- Interface with finance team on matters such as planning cycles, expense forecasting, investment requests, etc.
- Support and maintain the Managers Control Assessment and review inherent and residual risks are accurately reported
- Track and perform business related controls including training completion, mandatory absence, entitlements reviews, supervisory monitoring.
- Keep governance and process documents current with latest requirements
- Support Continuity of Business (COB) Recovery Coordinator responsibilities including Records Management, reviews of applications, and EUC
- Produce or assist in time-sensitive ad-hoc reports on performance metrics and key initiatives for senior management
Qualifications:
- 6 - 10 years of experience in financial services, reporting, analysis, risk or related functions at large financial institutions
- Strong PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills
- Ability to work productively across multiple projects with competing priorities and managing tight deadlines
- High level of motivation, strong work ethic, and able to work on own initiative
- Well organized, details oriented, analytical individual
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to navigate complex global organization and work collaboratively within a team and across organizational boundaries
- Markets products (fixed income or equities) knowledge preferred
- Track record of strong performance
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
