In this new position, you are contributing to the next generation of Process Automation devices. This work is a cornerstone of realizing the GF Piping Systems Process Automation Strategy 2025. As an R&D Standard & Approvals Manager, you will play an important role in the internal activities of GF Piping Systems by ensuring the application of the correct norms and standards. You will be responsible for setting up the corresponding requirements over obtaining the approvals to ensure necessary reapprovals in time. With your proactive attitude, you will work with an internal and external partner network globally.
Your tasks:
- Responsible for standards and approvals for sensors, valve drives, and transmitters in process automation
- Develop a global approval and conformity concept
- Create submission documents and carry out the approval projects independently
- Actively support colleagues from development in applying the requirements of the standard correctly and in uncovering gaps and risks
- Drive necessary re-certifications
- Proactively build and maintain close partnerships with partners and government agencies around the world
- In an ongoing exchange with internal and external bodies and partners worldwide
- Keep your knowledge of applicable standards up to date with the help of specialist literature
Your profile:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree and at least 3 years of experience in a Standard & Approvals role ideally in the sensors, measurement, or process automation industry
- At least 5 years of practical experience in the development of electrical products for the process industry or similar
- Good experience with cULus and CE
- Ideally additional experience with NSF, KTW, UKCA, ATEX, CSA, EC1935, 3A, EHEDG, metrological approvals, marine approvals, or radio approvals
- Ideally further experience with IEC 62443 or IEC 61508
- Good knowledge of German and English
- A valid work permit for Switzerland or at least an EU citizenship
