Simulands is a Zurich based company that develops medical simulators for training and education, with a focus on devices in the cardiology and cardiac surgery field.

Our range of physical simulators are made of a combination of various advanced materials and manufacturing techniques and replicate the true anatomy of normal or diseased heart and vascular structures. Therefore, our simulators enable training with real devices, usually catheter-based for minimally invasive treatments.

Do you have previous experience in manufacturing or in production area? We are looking for a full time Manufacturing Technician (m/f) who could join our team in Zurich.

Function: Manufacturing Technician

Job Type: Full Time

Reporting to: Engineering Manager

Knowledge & Previous Experiences: No specific knowhow is required. Experience in additive manufacturing processes is an advantage, as is assembly of electronic systems, programming of micro-controllers or CAD design

Education: No specific education needed. Technical education represents a plus

Languages: English in oral & written. German represents a plus.

Personal traits: An organized, disciplined work ethic with attention to detail is required. The candidate should be keen to learn new tasks and be good in independently solving problems with the tools at hand. There might be periods of repetitive work, where it is important to keep the motivation and quality level constant. Further required skills: ability to work efficiently in a small dynamic team, adaptability to changing priorities, organize own work, and conduct it diligently and responsibly within our Manufacturing department.

Other requirements: Only Swiss residency will be considered

Duties & Responsibilities: The Manufacturing Technician supports the manufacturing team into different fields. The scope of work includes, but it is not limited to:

  • Production and assembly of physical hardware: 3D Printing, laser cutting, silicone molding, postprocessing, assembly
  • Soldering, wiring and assembly of simple electronic components
  • Troubleshooting and technical support of manufacturing processes, materials and equipment to improve manufacturing yields and overall productivity
  • Responsible for the installation, calibration, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • Support and participate in corrective/preventative action procedures
  • Support the inventory management
  • Support the R&D team with manufacturing prototypes
