Operational Buyer 80-100% (f/m/d)


Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. Our unit Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS), based in Zuerich-Oerlikon, is active in the development and production of gas insulated switching systems. We ensure the high reliability of our systems by using state-of-the-art development tools and methods.

Your Responsibilities

  • Processing of orders (including deviations / complaints)

  • Obtaining the order confirmation from the supplier

  • SAP master data maintenance including timely adjustments to orders in SAP MM and evalua-tions of delivery performance

  • Operational responsibility for dedicated suppliers / categories and OTD, QKZ, Inventory Report-ing

  • Involvement in defining the correct supply type (JIT, JiS, Kanban, VMI, etc.) and their implemen-tation

  • Monitor and adjust the system data (master data)

  • Continuous improvement of supplier performance in terms of costs, quality and delivery times

  • Further development and optimization of purchasing processes in cooperation with strategic purchasing (LEAN Office, digitalization & automation of processes, etc.)

  • Processing of quality cases (notices of defects)

  • Interface between production, sales, development, suppliers and quality management

Your Background

  • Commercial or technical training, ideally supplemented by further training in the field of purchas-ing or logistics

  • Several years of experience in operational purchasing or in a comparable position

  • Good knowledge of MS-Office and SAP

  • Experience in the industrial sector, preferably in the MEM sector

  • Very good German and good English skills required

  • Resilient, independent, reliable and team player

  • Systematic approach to problem solving

  • Continuous improvement mindset
