PDG Analytics and Portfolio Optimization (APO) is a key strategic thought partner to Roche Research and Development stakeholders, and an integral contributor to Roche’s operational planning efforts, providing end-to-end operational insights in support of optimizing the Roche clinical trial portfolio.
The Lead role within APO supports the Roche clinical trial portfolio by analyzing complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources in order to provide insights to decision makers. This role interacts closely with Roche team members in a variety of ways, from direct consultation with users, to leading cross-functional teams to address business issues.
The Opportunity:

Lead advanced quantitative data analyses using large, complex datasets to support Roche clinical trial portfolio execution.

Oversee data team to develop analysis and reporting solutions tailored to business needs and partner with Roche Informatics for strategic priorities.

Produce data sets, reports, and forecasts to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, and co-create product roadmaps with Informatics.

Partner with Roche stakeholders to understand and prioritize business needs for portfolio execution.

Develop recommendations and strategic plans for clinical trial execution, including site and country selection, and articulate the impact of trial design, site selection, and competitor activities.
Who You are:

Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or graduate-level degree preferred.

Experience: 10+ years (Bachelor's), 8+ years (Master's), or 0+ years (PhD/JD) in pharma, biotech, or management consulting.

Expertise: Proficient in Forecasting, Competitive Intelligence, Data Analytics, Patient/Investigator Insights, Resourcing, Information Visualization, or Data Science.

Technical Skills: Knowledge of scripting, statistical/programming languages, and analytical tools (e.g., Python, R, SAS, SQL, Matlab).

Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to convey complex ideas effectively.
