Deputy Group Head of Internal Audit
Reporting to the Group Head of Internal Audit, in our Geneva's Headquarters, your role is to develop, plan and manage the delivery of reports to the audit committee and the supervisory board providing an independent assessment of the efficiency and effectiveness of governance processes, risk management practices or internal controls. As directed, this role supervises and coaches internal auditors and/or oversees the audit work of third party auditors.
A day in your future job:
Contribute in the development and implementation of a continuously improved internal audit strategy, consolidating the positioning of GIA within Mirabaud and ensuring an innovative and dynamic Internal Audit Department evolution.
Provide a qualitative and timely proactive support to the CAE. Being a reliable and trustful backup of the Group Head of Internal Audit, i.e. by leading and supporting the Internal Audit
Department and / or representing the internal audit function as directed.
Contribute to the development and completion of the internal audit plan, and to the continuous monitoring (incl. data analytics).
Lead complex internal audit reviews, projects and special investigatory assignments, oversight cosourced activities as directed (including prioritisation and time management), identify the relevant and risk based enhancements and communicate them impactfully ensuring management adhesion to proposed actions plan to address areas of improvement.
Contribute to the enhancement of the risk and control culture into day-to-day business activities and processes, i.e. performing advising on policy documentation, providing training to business colleagues on governance, risk and control issues. Ensure that risk and control environment remain relevant to new standards/regulations, changes to processes from system implementations or business model transformation.
Ensure an effective recommendation follow up process, and the effective implementation of the agreed recommendations, including the evaluation of the embeddedness and operating effectiveness of the actions taken to address internal audit findings.
Develop and maintain strong Business Partnerships with key stakeholders to enable value-add consultation without compromising independence.
Contribute to the development of the audit team, by coaching and sharing information / knowledge and by being proactively innovating.
Contribute in the recruitment and the retention within the organisation of GIA individuals such they perform their full potential.
Contribute to the maintenance of a culture of accountability and integrity, personally adhering to high ethical standards.
Manage personal awareness of industry, regulation and business activities in order to ensure high level of commercial acumen.

Your assets to succeed:
Graduate level calibre with 10 to 15 years of audit or relatable operational experience.
Extensive audit experience in complex environments and ideally across a number of sectors, and different sizes of organisations.
Qualified or working towards Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent.
Commitment to the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) through membership of the Swiss Institute of Internal Auditors.
Fluent in French and English, other languages an asset.
Demonstrable independent mind-set and ability to challenge the status quo.
Strong communication, being clear and concise both orally and in writing.
Confident with technological concepts, digitalisation and collaboration tools.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with people at all levels of the organisation.
Self-motivated with ability to work effectively under pressure and with high levels of personal resilience.
