The Senior Managers Team (SMO) is responsible for the end-to-end process of all Pre Approval Controlled Functions (PCFs), as designated under Fitness and Probity, along with the day to day management of the recently introduced Individual Accountability Framework (IAF) and the Senior Executive Accountability Regime (SEAR).
Excellent communication skills are required for this position in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. It requires someone with developed communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide, influence and support others, in particular colleagues in other areas.
What you’ll do
This is a key role within the Citibank Europe Plc (CEP) SMO and will involve working with colleagues across the organisation with key responsibilities:
- Be seen as a Senior Point of Contact within the SMO team assuming responsibility on key aspects of the IAF, SEAR and PCF applications.
- Managing an up-to-date pipeline of in-flight PCF roles, and engaging with senior individuals across CEP to ensure that items are actioned in a timely manner to meet business and other governance deadlines
- Drafting submission packs for PCF roles for the Nominations Committee, Board and the Regulator with associated due diligence carried out and all issues clearly identified
- Ensuring the ongoing embeddedness of the IAF and SEAR across CEP through stakeholder engagement, and providing training and advice
- Ongoing management of the Management Responsibilities Map (MRM) to ensure it is kept up to date as a key document under the SEAR
- Supporting PCF role holders as they transition into their roles to ensure they have an approved Statement of Responsibilities, Delegation Framework and have received an appropriate Handover to support them in meeting their SEAR obligations
- Providing inputs to and managing the submissions to the Conduct and Culture Risk Working Group
- Champion continuous improvement across all processes to ensure that they are managed in the most efficient manner
- Establishing a network across CEP of impacted stakeholders and ensuring they are aware of their role in the process
What we’ll need from you
- Experience in the financial services industry with relevant experience, particularly within Fitness and Probity, IAF and SEAR an advantage.
- Self-starter, ability to quickly assimilate and analyse large amounts of information across a variety of topics.
- Proven ability to partner and collaborate across an organisation, excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills, with the ability to build relationships, partner effectively and build a strong internal network across functions
- Strong tenacity and resilient under pressure and self-motivated in a fast paced and demanding environment.
- Highly engaged, strong attention to detail, and outcome oriented.
- The role demands a strong work ethic and willingness to ‘roll up sleeves.
- Strong analytical problem solving and the person should have a high level of integrity to deal with highly confidential data.
