Job Description

We are looking for an Application Engineer to join our team of around 1,700 people worldwide to help us power up the traveller's journey for millions of holidaymakers. The job in brief:

Job Title - Application Engineer

Working model - hybrid from Switzerland

Team - you will join the Applications Engineering & Services team

Level - Professional

Location - Chiasso, Switzerland

Contract - Permanent - full-time (EUR 36 h/week)

What your impact will be

Design, implement, and maintain our chatbot and contact center solutions, ensuring optimal conversational flow performance.

Define, document, and enforce system standards as part of a continuous improvement process.

Troubleshoot incidents and root causes, implementing remediation actions to maintain system reliability.

Collaborate with the Business Product Owner (PO) to enhance customer experiences.

Monitor system performance and recommend improvements proactively.

Qualifications

Your expertise:

Proven experience as a Technical Engineer with expertise in omnichannel customer care solutions.

Hands-on knowledge of designing and troubleshooting complex conversational flows.

Strong software development background: PHP, MySQL, Javascript, CSS, HTML, Python.

Expertise in NodeJS and Electron Framework.

Familiarity with AWS infrastructure/services and GITLAB pipelines.

Basic understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP), including TTS and ASR engines.

Fluent English (written and spoken).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Adaptability, communication skills, and stress management.

On-call availability, with sporadic international travel required
