Global Supply Chain Development and Strategic Projects Manager

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The purpose of this role is to lead the development and implementation of key Supply Chain projects, aligning with strategic priorities, enhancing IT systems, and improving global supply chain operations. The role also involves identifying risks, resolving issues, and ensuring seamless coordination across departments. This position is based in Basel and will report directly to the Global Supply Chain Planning and Purchasing Head.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Coordination and Strategic Alignment
- Coordinates the development and implementation of major Supply Chain projects and initiatives, ensuring they align with the Department's strategic priorities
- Manages internal coordination within the Supply Chain and align with other Head Office departments, particularly IT, Finance, and Commercial Teams
Continuous Improvement and IT Integration
- Serves as the owner and focal point for the continuous improvement strategy, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to enhance IT tools and systems used in Supply Chain
- Drafts business requirements, develop project plans, create training manuals, and oversee the testing and rollout of new supply chain IT tools, including Power BI enhancements and Forecasting/Replenishment systems
Risk Management and Supply Chain Optimization
- Handles continuous analysis of existing supply chains to identify improvement areas and potential risks, assess their criticality, and define mitigation plans to prevent disruptions
- Drives awareness of active supply chain issues, clarify business impacts, and present resolution plans to ensure smooth operations
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Logistics or a related field
- Having a Master´s Degree in Industrial Management or Supply Chain is preferred
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in handling international suppliers/providers
- Must be agile, assertive, proactive, and resilient, with excellent analytical skills
- Must have strong organizational and reporting skills
- Must have good proficiency in PowerPoint presentations
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds
