About the role

The Commercial Learning Academy at Barry Callebaut is a central pillar of our Commercial Excellence function, designed to systematically uplift the capabilities of our global commercial teams..

The Commercial Learning Academy Operations Manager is instrumental in implementing and operationalizing the learning strategies. This role focuses on the execution and operations management of learning programs, ensuring that all educational initiatives are delivered effectively and efficiently to enhance the capabilities of Barry Callebaut’s commercial teams.

Key responsibilities include

1. Program Execution and Management

  • Implement Learning Programs: Take charge of the operational aspects of all training initiatives, ensuring that programs are executed as designed, within budget, and on schedule.
  • Resource Coordination: manage logistical requirements for training sessions, including materials, technology, venues, and instructor schedules.

2. Stakeholder engagement & support

  • Liaison Role: Act as the primary point of contact for participants and trainers, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring smooth communication between all parties involved.
  • Work closely with HR Learning & Talent teams, internal and external trainers and training program contributors
  • Support Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration between departments to align training efforts with broader organizational needs and objectives.

3. Learning Management System (LMS, Success Factors Learning) & Continuous improvement

  • LMS Administration: Oversee the learning management system, ensuring it is effectively used to deliver and track training programs.
  • Content Management: Coordinate with content creators and technical teams to ensure that all learning materials are up-to-date, accessible, and aligned with current training needs.
  • Feedback Integration: Implement changes to training programs based on participant and stakeholder feedback to continually raise the standard of education provided.
  • Track Program Success: Monitor the progress and effectiveness of training programs using defined KPIs and feedback mechanisms to ensure they meet learning objectives and business goals.

About you

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Business Management, Organization Management, Marketing, Human Resources, Office Management or equivalent through experience
  • Fluency in English. Understanding of the following languages French, German, Spanish is considered a plus
  • Travel: Some travel may be required, estimated at 10-20% depending on program needs.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, business operations or a similar role, preferably within a corporate environment.
  • Educational Program Management: Proven track record of successfully managing and executing training programs.
  • Technology Savvy: Experience with Learning Management Systems and other educational technologies is a strong plus
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the B2B or manufacturing sectors, particularly in food production, is advantageous.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple training events simultaneously.
  • Effective Communicator: Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with trainers, participants, and corporate leaders.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly resolve issues related to training logistics or participant engagement.
  • Team Collaboration: A collaborative mindset that fosters positive relationships and teamwork across departments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, characterized by the ability to influence at various levels within the organization, from the leadership team to frontline employees
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to navigate and respect diverse cultural nuances within a multinational company, enhancing team collaboration and learning effectiveness.
  • Culinary Enthusiasm: A passion for food, pastry, and gastronomy is considered a plus
